πŸ™ŒπŸ» 14 Months Of Blessings!! πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Week #60

Hey everyone, another week gone here in Cocoa Florida!! I'm doing really good and really enjoying this transfer. We only have 2 weeks left of this transfer, it's gone by really fast. Today is my 14 Month mark and it's gone by even faster haha. Things are really well in this area and Elder Goddard and I have been Super Diligent and we are seeing our work being paid off. #Blessings

This week I had an exchange with Elder Godinet, It was a really good exchange. We did a lot of finding and we found 5 new investigators. I can only say that 2 of them seem solid. But hey, that's what we are trying to do, find those who are prepared to receive the Restored Gospel! The exchange was really fun cause Elder Godinet is easy to get along with and it honestly felt like I was hanging out with a good friend all day! I Love Godinet!! Hah

Update on Doug, he is doing well, he was unable to make it to church this week cause he had to work down in Melbourne, He makes beautiful art pieces out of wood and sells them at different festivals. We did get to have a couple lessons with him though, they went really good we brought out a member and they really clicked, we have been focusing a lot to get Doug the fellowship he needs and it's been going pretty well. This week we asked doug if he has been able to receive his answer from Heavenly Father that the church is Truuu and he said he has.  It's nice to know that he has received his true conversion.

So Last night we went to dinner with one of my favorite family's in the ward, The Klines, they invited some friends and a nonmember, at the end of dinner we shared a video about Jesus Christ and we went into sharing the restoration with Joe the nonmember and he was really interested and wants to learn more, we gave him a Book of Mormon. We're hoping to start teaching him soon. He's a really nice guy and he will be a member of the church he just doesn't know it yet. Haha

Something I wanted to share this week was in a talk given by Elder L. Tom Perry in April 1989, "Even though we have heard the prophets declare for decades “Every member a missionary,” we still have only a small percentage of the membership of the Church actively engaged in assisting stake and full-time missionaries in our responsibilities to declare the gospel to the world. We declare to the world that Jesus is the Christ. We abhor the doctrine that He is a myth or a creation of conspiring men in the world. We denounce the idea that He was just a great teacher. We testify of the divinity of Jesus of Nazareth, that He is the Son of God, the Savior of the world. We declare that we have an added witness of this divine truth, as contained in the Book of Mormon."  We all as members of the church need to share the gospel and testify of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Im so thankful for Jesus Christ and the love I know he has for me!

The scripture I wanted to share this week is Mathew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. It's important that we all share the gospel and give people the peace that we have in our lives because of Jesus Christ! I love you all and hope you have a good week!!

πŸ™ŒπŸ»We Fail Only If We Fail To Take Another Faithful Step ForwardπŸ™ŒπŸ» WEEK #59

Hey everyone, things here are going pretty good. We had a really good week we were very very diligent and we saw some good things happen. Elder Goddard and I are still doing really good. He's opening up a little bit more everyday. He really is just a quiet, good hearted kid. We work really well together. Can't believe the transfer is half way over!!!

So update on Doug, He's doing really well. We had three really good Lessons with him and he's learning more and more about the church. He's also growing a testimony! This week he told us that he knows that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and that The Book of Mormon is Truu. He does believe this church is true and that it's his new home. Doug is Awesome he has such a strong faith in God and Jesus Christ and all he wants to do is be his best. It's been really cool to see him go from knowing nothing about the church to having a testimony of the church. It's been really good working with him and we're excited for this next week!

Sunday night we had a really good lesson with our part member family. We talked with them about Christlike attributes and how it's important to work on them in our own life, we also read out of The Book of Mormon and we asked the Member if he believes that it is true and he said yes but he doesn't believe in religion, we expressed with him that he needs to build off of the testimony that he has of The Book of Mormon being true. When we know the Book of Mormon is true, We know that Joseph smith is a true prophet. When we know that, We know that this is Christ's church here on earth again. They are a awesome little family and I know that if they have faith and act on the Promptings they receive then they can gain a faith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!!

Something I wanted to share this week was a talk by Elder Randall K. Bennett, Your Next Step...We fail only if we fail to take another faithful step forward. We will not, we cannot, fail if we are faithfully yoked to the Savior--He who has never failed and will never fail us! I promise that each faith-filled step will be met with help from heaven. Guidance will come as we pray to our Heavenly Father, rely on our Savior and follow Him, and listen to the Holy Spirit. Strength will come because of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Healing and forgiveness will come because of God’s grace. Wisdom and patience will come by trusting in the Lord’s timing for us. We must trust in the Lord and he will help us in all that we do!! He will Guide our Paths!

Well another week come and gone, I'm still doing really well. I'm really happy about where our area is, we have some things to fix but we're working on it. The scripture I wanted to share this week is one that my sister Kami shared with me this week and helped me a lot. It's Proverbs 3:5-6 5:Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6: In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. It's as simple as that! We must love the lord with all thy heart and we have been given the promise that he will direct our paths! Anyways I love you all and hope you guys have a great week!!!

πŸ’ͺ🏻Choosing The Harder Right!πŸ™πŸΌ WEEK #58

Hey everyone, This week was realllly Good! We saw so many people and were able to get a lot of things accomplished and help build up this area here in Cocoa. My Companion is doing really well, he's awesome. We have been working really hard and doing our best to serve the people of Cocoa Florida! I've also been running every morning since Elder Goddard got here. I can't say running is getting easier but I can say it's getting less difficult haha. I hate Running!!! But hey I've lost 8 Lbs!

Monday night we had a really good lesson with Sister Wyles, We sat down and talked with her and we asked her if she watched the Sunday Morning Session of Conference. She told us she didn't but had them recorded on her tv. So we said can we watch just the first talk by our Prophet Thomas S. Monson? We watched it and she was overwhelmed by the spirit. She said guys I want to be honest with you, when I saw your car pull up I didn't want to answer the door I just got in a fight with my son and I just wanted to be alone. But she expressed how happy she was that she let us in and we were able to bring the spirit. It was a really powerful lesson and a cool experience.

Awesome Sunday!! We got Doug to church for fast and testimony meeting. He loved every bit of it. He told us felt the spirit very strongly. After sacrament meeting I leaned over to him and asked if we could steal 15 minutes to have a lesson and he said he wanted to make it to his other church. Ahhh man!!! But members came and talked to him and said that this is his new home!! This is where he need to be! He leaned over to us and said I'll just Blow off my other church we can go have a meeting haha it was great, we had a really good lesson with him and focused on Baptism and Confimation he said he does want to be baptized he just wants to be clean and ready. We gave him a Priesthood Blessing that he would be able to get over his struggles. Very good Lesson spirit was strong!!!!!

Oh and I bore my Testimony in Church, I just wanted to say how thankful i am for my family and what I've been taught about the gospel.  I also shared how thankful I am for my little brother who enters the Missionary Training Center this Wednesday and how proud I am of him and his decision to serve the Lord. I'm thankful for my decision to serve a mission!

I wanted to share something from our Beloved Prophet Thomas S. Monson,  "May we ever choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong. As we contemplate the decisions we make in our lives each day--whether to make this choice or that choice--if we choose Christ, we will have made the correct choice."  I'm so thankful for our Prophet and the words he had to say that I know came directly from our Father in Heaven. Choose the Harder Right!!

Everything is going good and I'm pretty happy right now I love doing what i do! I'm so proud of my little brother who I know will make a great missionary. I love him and miss him a lot!! The scripture I wanted to share this week is Moses 6:33-34, 33 Say unto this people: Choose ye this day, to serve the Lord God who made you. 34 Behold my Spirit is upon you, wherefore all thy words will I justify; and the mountains shall flee before you, and the rivers shall turn from their course; and thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me. Hope everyone has a great week love you all!

General Conference & Hittin' The Streets Of Cocoa Week #57

Hey Everyone, another week a has come and gone and now week 1 of the Transfer is already over, it was a good week. Elder Goddard is a great guy and we will get along really well. He's just a good Hearted kid and I'm excited to work with him. He's still got that greenie fire that I lost a long time ago haha. He loves the work and the people. Me and Goddard were able to see some success this past week and were able to set some really good goals for the transfer. I'm really excited to see the blessings from our Diligence!

This week we did a lot of Less Active Hunting, There are a lot of Less Active's in this Ward so we have been trying to get in contact with a lot of them and knock the doors around them. We were able to find a couple new Less Active's to work with, as well as a new investigator Leroy, we shared a the Restoration with him and he really enjoyed it. We are going to see him again this next coming week, hopefully everything will go as planned and he will progress.

A little update with Doug, He has been very busy with his store in Orlando, he also has been very sick, like the Flu and Chills... Not Fun. We decided to go see how he was doing and give him a Big Kit Kat candy Bar, he really was happy that we did that for him but we could tell he really wasn't feeling well at all.. 1 Positive to take away from this visit is he said that he has been reading The Book of Mormon so that was cool we are really hoping to see him this next week and help him progress towards baptism.

One of my favorite talks from General Conference was "The Healing Ointment of Forgiveness" by Elder Kevin R. Duncan, There is not a soul alive who will not, at one time or another, be the victim to someone else’s careless actions, hurtful conduct, or even sinful behavior. Gratefully, God has taught us that we can forgive! Even though we may be a victim once, we need not be a victim twice by carrying the burden of hate, bitterness, pain, resentment, or even revenge. We can forgive, and we can be free! One key to forgiving others is to try to see them as God sees them. Forgiveness is the very reason God sent His Son, so let us rejoice in His offering to heal us all. The Savior’s Atonement is not just for those who need to repent; it is also for those who need to forgive. If you are having trouble forgiving another person, or even yourself, ask God to help you." I really enjoyed conference and can't believe it was my 3rd time watching it on the Mish. The Prophets and Apostles have a lot of love for us members. They Lead and Guide Christ's Church here on earth.. The Church is Truuu!!

Well me and Goddard have a good week planned and are excited about this transfer and the Goals we can Achieve once again I'm so thankful for my mission and the things that I've learned and people that I've grown to love. So many Blessings!! The scripture I would like to share is Amos 3:7 7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Prophets are here to help lead all of Heavenly Father's children back to him. Hope everyone has a good week!
