#Happybirthday #Happyeaster Week #56

Hey everyone so things are going pretty good here in Cocoa Florida just found out that my new companion will be Elder Goddard he is been out for 4 1/2 months. Serving with Elder Fenn was great but I'm looking forward to the change and ready to get some good work done!

So this week I went on exchanges with Elder Larsen, it was pretty good we went to his area so he ran the day. We had a really good lesson with his recent converts, Brother and Sister Hoffert, we had a lesson on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we focused mainly on repentance and the importance of it. A quote I wanted to share from the lesson was“Every principle and ordinance of the gospel of Jesus Christ is significant and important in contributing to the progress, happiness, and eternal life of man; but there is none more essential to the salvation of the human family than the divine and eternally operative principle, repentance. Without it, no one can be saved. Without it, no one can even progress” ~ David O. McKay,.  Elder Larsen is really cool and I had a lot of fun with him.

Wednesday we went out to Merritt Island with the senior couples. We met with a couple of different part member families which was really good because we haven't been able to get contact with them. Part member families are one of the best ways to find new people to teach. Having the Senior couples in our ward will help us out a lot.

So my birthday was on Saturday, (now I'm the big 21 haha) it was pretty good, we had a really cool member take us out to dinner at Dixie crossroads which is a really good seafood restaurant! Seafood is the bomb!! Later that day we went to Bob's and had some ice cream with him. Overall, it was a good day.

As I focused on the Atonement and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter Season I read a talk given by D. Todd Christofferson "The resurrection of Jesus Christ" something I wanted to share from the talk "Given the reality of the Resurrection of Christ, doubts about the omnipotence, omniscience, and benevolence of God the Father--who gave His Only Begotten Son for the redemption of the world--are groundless. Doubts about the meaning and purpose of life are unfounded. Jesus Christ is in fact the only name or way by which salvation can come to mankind. The grace of Christ is real, affording both forgiveness and cleansing to the repentant sinner." I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he died for all of us I know that because he was resurrected we will all be resurrected and  live with are families forever and I'm thankful for my knowledge of that.

Can't believe another transfer has come and gone these transfers go by so quick. I'm really looking forward to being companions with Elder Goddard and I'm excited for it. You know we gon' be grinding out the work... here in Cocoa Florida and doing the work of the Lord. I'm thankful for my opportunity to testify of Christ daily, I love it the Rush is Amazing! The scripture I would like to share this week is Alma 11:37 And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their sins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins. Love you all and hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

πŸ™πŸΌI Glory In My JesusπŸ™πŸΌ Week #55

What up everyone, this week was really good. We had a lot of good stuff happen and there is a lot happening right here in Cocoa Florida!! This week went by real quick.. And this Transfer has flown by, Saturday I will find out what will be happening with transfers. Oh and this next week is also my Birthday and I turn the Big 21!!! Elder Fenn's B-Day is also this next week (27th) and he turns the Big 20. We are exactly 1 year and 1 day apart. You know we gon' Turn Up!!!

Wednesday we had a really good day, we now have the Senior Missionary Couple Elder and Sister Taylor working in our ward which will be really nice for us. They drove us all the way out to Merritt Island so we could see some people that we really don't get a chance to visit because they are so far. We were following up on a referral and we picked up a new investigator, Bonnie. She is awesome, she was so welcoming to us, she was so thankful that we were able to come share with her the restoration and bring her a copy of The Book of Mormon. We invited her to be baptized and she said... Yes, we are pretty excited to work with her now that we will be going out to Merritt Island more often.

So cool story with Doug, we were talking to Barbara Wyles Sunday night and telling her that we are going to be going to the Kennedy Space Center to visit. She was telling us how she worked there for 20 years and we were like, wait a minute.. Doug said he worked there for 31 years. Hey Barbara, do you know Doug S. ? "Yea I do, I worked with him and I know him very well. I talk with him almost everyday over Facebook, we are really good friends." So this next week we are definitely going to bring her out to a lesson with us!...HEY!! they're both single haha #EternalMarriage anyways Doug also came to Church this week and he really enjoyed it.

Something I wanted to share this week is "The Savior wrought the Atonement, which provides a way for us to become clean. Jesus Christ is the resurrected Christ. We worship and recognize Him for the pain He suffered for us collectively and for the pain He endured for each of us individually, both in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross. He bore all with great humility and with an eternal understanding of His divine role and purpose. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored to move throughout the world the knowledge of the life and teachings of the Savior. Jesus Christ presides over this Church. He is no stranger to His servants. As we move into the future with quiet confidence, His Spirit will be with us."

So the Deseret Ranch Rodeo was on Friday, it was really cool to be able to go once again, we got to volunteer and help out. I was so happy to be able to see some people from the Melbourne ward. And as always I love gettin' my Country on!! Haha

I want to give a Shoutout to Elder Bateman who went home this week, Bateman is a truuu homie!! I'm thankful for the great companion he was too me and the good time that we had in Minneola. I've got his back and I know he's got mine. I'm going to miss having Bateman's crazy...belligerent personality in the Mish!

Another week has come and gone! It was a though week but it ended up being a pretty good week. This next week should be pretty good and I'm pretty excited for the things that we have going on. The scripture I wanted to share this week is 2nd Nephi 33:6 I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell. I love you all and I hope you guys have a good week.

#Hallelujah WEEK #54

Hey Everyone this week has been pretty good. We had some good lessons and were able to reach out to a lot of people. I'm still doing good. Cocoa is great. Elder Fenn and I just out here doing the work of the Lord!! Today we got to go to a MLB baseball game so that was pretty sickkk.

We had a pretty good lesson with Doug this week, We taught Him Obedience to Gods Commandments. We can, in this life be so much happier if we choose to follow Gods Commandments out of love. By keeping the Commandments we prepare for eternal life. The Lord has promised us blessings if we do these things. I know that our Heavenly Father has so much In store for us and if we choose to disobey, we will miss out on the blessings we could have received. Teaching Doug has been great, he has a strong love for Heavenly Father and doing all that He asks of us. Getting him to live this principle shouldn't be hard haha.

So the Church just dropped a new video for the Easter Initiative, "#Hallelujah An Easter message about Jesus Christ. This is a great way we can share the Gospel that we love with others. Check out the video and share it. You know what we gon be sharin' errry day!

We had a really good lesson with our investigator Lucien Bruno, He is the father of a part member family that we have been teaching. This family is awesome and I've really enjoyed getting to know them. We shared a very powerful message about our Savior Jesus Christ. Then we had a small testimony meeting. The spirit was definitely present in their home and I know we all could feel it. Sister Bruno thanked us for our testimonys  and told us how thankful she was to have us come over and do this for them. I thought about how lucky I am as a missionary to be able to hear so many great testimonys from family's just like them. I love sharing the Truu Gospel!!

Zone Conference was on Thursday, they can always be fun....They also can be very long! Haha I really enjoyed President Berry's training that he gave on Repentance. This is a very important step in our eternal progression and it's important for us to help those we teach understand this principle.

Something I thought I would share this week, "The Savior’s precious birth, life, Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane, suffering on the cross, burial in Joseph’s tomb, and glorious Resurrection all became a renewed reality for us. The Savior’s Resurrection assures all of us that someday we too will follow Him and experience our own resurrection. What peace, what comfort this great gift is which comes through the loving grace of Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. There is no greater expression of love than the heroic Atonement performed by the Son of God." I'm thankful for my knowledge of Jesus Christ and His love he truly gives me.

Well here we are another week come and gone! We are now entering week 6 of the Transfer and things are looking good. The work here in Cocoa is moving along pretty well and has been a lot of fun. I feel Blessed!! The scripture I would like to share this week is 1st Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Love you all have a wonderful week. Happy St. Patrick's Day!! πŸ€

πŸ™πŸΌ"The Lord’s Way Is Not Hard. Life Is Hard, Not The Gospel."πŸ™πŸΌ Week #53

Hey everyone, this week was pretty good. We were able to meet with Doug a couple of times. We had some good lessons. We also got to go to the Temple on Friday which was pretty cool. It was my second Temple trip of my mission. Cocoa is still doing good. We still be out here Steady Mobbin!!

We had three really good lessons with Doug this week!! On Wednesday I was on an Exchange with Elder Godinet, He is really cool. We had a Killa day and saw lots of good things happen. We taught Doug the Plan Of Salvation and it went awesome. He knows that God has a plan for all of us and He knew that what we were teaching was true and he talked about how the spirit testify's of truth and he said he can feel that when we teach him. One thing I love about teaching Doug is he wants to learn and become more like Christ, he loves everything that we teach and know's that it is true. Doug is such a great guy and it has been great working with him. He has become a really good friend. Everything it's still on track for his baptismal date.

We went to the Temple on Friday, it was really good. I love going to the temple there's a special spirit that you can feel there that you can't feel anywhere else in the world. It's always a neat experience to be able to go. I know that there are blessings that come from attending the temple. I LOVE THE TEMPLE!!

Something I wanted to share this week in a talk I read from General Conference 2008, The Way by Lawrence E. Corbridge of the Seventy, The Lord’s way is not hard. Life is hard, not the gospel. “There is an opposition in all things,” everywhere, for everyone. Life is hard for all of us, but life is also simple. We have only two choices. We can either follow the Lord and be endowed with His power and have peace, light, strength, knowledge, confidence, love, and joy, or we can go some other way, any other way, whatever other way, and go it alone--without His support, without His power, without guidance, in darkness, turmoil, doubt, grief, and despair. And I ask, which way is easier?  Life is hard, but life is simple. Get on the path and never, ever give up. You never give up. You just keep on going. You don’t quit, and you will make it. There is only one way to happiness and fulfillment. Jesus Christ is the Way. Every other way, any other way, whatever other way is foolishness.

I know that Jesus Christ is the only way and I know that this Gospel is Truu. Things here are still going well and we're excited for the work that is growing here in this area. The ward really takes care of us. The Scripture I wanted to share this week is Mark 11:28-30, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Love you all have a wonderful week!
